Raised Beading Workshop at Back to Batoche
Raised Beadwork - 2hr.
Saturday, July 21, 1:00-3:00pm Workshop Tent
Receive an introduction to the raised beadwork of the Haudenosaunee. It was Haudenasaunee (Iroquois) Métis that lead explorers from the Great Lakes, across the land and through the Athabasca Pass into New Caledonia (BC). Many of us have this Ancestral connection. In this workshop, you will bead a sample card of stitches that you can refer to as you continue to explore raised beadwork. Raised beadwork can be mixed with flat work for beautiful tactile effect.
