Black-capped Chickadee on Birch Christmas Cards - 6 pack set
The black-capped chickadee prefers the tree-covered areas of British Columbia, often roosting in spruce, pine and fir trees. A welcome visitor to the garden, this little winged one helps control insect populations by feasting on insect eggs, larvae, spider, weevils, lice, sawflies and other small insects. In the winter months, it will feed on berries and seeds gifted in bird feeders. The black-capped chickadee has a cheerful song that is easily recognized as 'chick-a-dee-dee-dee.'
Black-capped chickadee sits on evergreen boughs and a seasonal poinsettia, under a drape of snowberries. This print shows the original beadwork that is stitched onto birchbark.
The 7"x 7" card is perfect for framing.
